Fair and balanced reporting

So, 17 weeks in, and in the interest of fair and balanced reporting, I thought it was high time Daddy-to-be checked in to clear a few things up.

I've been losing a lot of arguments lately. Unaccustomed as I am to being wrong, I have been most upset to discover that I am now wrong far more often than in the last 7 years of our relationship. Not even having wikipedia at my fingertips has helped reinforce my usually infallible sense of logic and reason. And I've been losing them despite Marisa being at an obvious disadvantage this week.

Next, my cooking skills have come into demand in the last week or two. Sadly for both of us, using the word "skill" in the same breath as "my cooking" is putting it far too strongly. Anyway, we've almost filled an entire sheet with loyalty stickers from our local Indian takeaway, which means a nice cheap meal the next time it's my turn to "cook".

Oh, on a positive note, my driving is as in demand as it always was - not at all. It's my fault of course. Even though I hardly ever speed up when approaching a corner anymore (I used to do this in the interest of scientific inquiry rather than an attempt to exploit the brilliant handling characteristics of my car). And I hardly ever start braking with only 5 meters to go. And I hardly ever pull off from the lights with a smoky clutch left behind me. Hardly ever.

Last week I was encouraged to start growing a belly of my own, as I was told that it's "simply not fair that I'm still so skinny". Fat chance, honey. This man is staying slim for as long as my aging frame will let me.

Anyway, it's obviously been an absolute joy so far. I have the most wonderful wife who hasn't been ratty or moody or too tired for me once. She's been the best. Bless her.

Love you honey!

Only ...

go.

Dear sir..... I'd say you should get used to loosing them arguments with the wife..... being pregnant and all, women do seem to loose some marbles, but hey, they will ALWAYS be right ;-) Believe me, this is experience talking here, oh, and don't expect her to gt them marbles back anytime soon!!! ;-)
LOVE the pics of you 3! When do we know if it's a Poppel-man or Poppel-frau?

Apparently they wait till week 20 to spot the equipment. I'm confident that we'd have spotted it at least 4 weeks ago, but nooooooo, we had to wait ;)
