Clever granny!

Look at this awesome jersey Ethie's clever Granny made. It is the fourth lovely jersey Jacque has made for him, but this one had teddies on it! How clever! I love it!

Ethan 3 and a bit months

I can't believe that our little man is 3 and a bit months! Where did the time go!?

Ethan is such a joy! He is a real cutie and is coming into his own now! Ethan's little personality is really coming through. He loves to sit and if lo and behold you should lay him down after sitting for a bit, he throws a little tantrum!! He loves to look around at his surroundings, he is interested in everything and will let you know when he has had enough. He has quite a strong character. Ethan is still sitting aided, but sits alone in his bumbo seat (that's how these photos were taken). Ethan is also starting to turn his body when lying down, any day now and he'll roll over unaided!

For me, it feels like he was not a baby for very long. I know that he is still a baby, but he has so much character, he is so communicative, alert and advanced (which is fantastic) that I feel deprived of my little baby!! hehe!

Ethan has brought such joy and love into our lives, we are so very grateful for this precious boy!

**On another note, Ethan will be gaining a cousin in May next year! Very exciting times for Mel and Greig! I have attached their baby blog link on our site.

2009 will be anther fabulous year, with a new baby on it's way and my darling sister and her lovely boyfriend William, getting married! Bring on 2009!

Ethan's first holiday and update

We were lucky enough to go away for a few days to the Cotswolds. Sven hired a little cottage for us, which was lovely! We spent a few days walking in the country, lying in the sun and just enjoying each other. It was bliss!

Ethan is growing so quickly, he now weighs 7.1kgs!!! He is also getting tall, with most of his clothes not really fitting him length wise! He was never going to be a small baby... now was he?!
Ethan has continued to try and sit up on his own, and is really getting frustrated with it! My health visitor has said not to encourage it at the moment as he is still too young. Other than that, Ethan has been purposely grabbing things, and it is amazing to watch his co-ordination develop.

Ethan has also developed a little personality, he is letting us know what he likes and dislikes at the moment! He has been known to through a strop when he does not get his way!!

Anyway, he is our cute angel and we adore watching him grow! He is a funny little chap, and we love him!

Ethan pulling himself up at 7 weeks

For a few days now, Ethan has been trying to pull himself forward into a sitting position!

I managed to get it on film yesterday. I am only holding his hands and then when he pulls I stiffen my grip, Ethan does the rest! Such a strong boy! He only wants to sit these days and doesn't really like being on our chests or in a tight arm hold!

He is growing way to quickly for my liking!

Ethan - the most gorgeous boy in the whole wide world!

Our little man is growing so quickly! His 0 - 3 months clothing is fitting him well and will soon be in his 2 - 4 months clothes.

He is developing well. Even though he was holding his head up right from birth, he is holding it up much longer now and is turning his head from side to side smoothly and consciously! Ethan started smiling this week, and has the most beautiful wide grin! It melts mummy's heart every time. Ethan has also started making baby sounds/babbling. Especially when in his bouncer or cot bed staring at his mobile.

almost a month

We took the chance of some quiet time to drape ourselves around our boy and take some photos as the wee little family that we have become.
