SURPRISE Baby shower

Well, on saturday the 5th July Sven and I got ready to go to what I thought was a pub lunch for Sven's sister, Melanie's birthday!

We drove to the venue and as we pulled up, I thought I saw a friend of ours Lourens. I said to Sven, "hey there's Lou!" he said "no, no that's not Lou". Now having known Lou as long as I have known Sven, I kinda know Lou when I see Lou!!! Anyways...we got out the car and started walking to the venue, when I see some more of my friends and I'm thinking - hang on a minute...what the heck is going on. I still don't get it, until Sven says something!!! Hehe! I am left speechless for about 15 minutes - total SHOCK! hehe!! What a lovely baby shower surprise!!

Sabrina had planned the whole thing perfectly, as I knew she would. Sven and Brin, discussed dates etc and kept it from me!! I was expecting the baby shower to be the following weekend! WELL DONE GUYS!!

We had a lovely day, and our little man has been totally spoilt with lots of clothes, toys, books, socks...you name it he has it. The kid has more clothes and socks than I do!! hehe! We are very lucky to have such amazing friends and family. Thanks to everyone!

Mummy and Daddy to be go to Spain - 32 Weeks

We went to Spain for a last chance break before our little man arrives, and for the wedding of one of Sven's colleagues. We stayed one night in Sevilla, Spain. Sven surprised us by booking at the most amazing hotel I have ever seen or stayed in. On Friday morning we walked through Sevilla, which is absolutely lovely!

Sven took some photos at the hotel of the bump at 32 week. I think that they are lovely. I am feeling fine, a little heavy at times, especially when I walk for long periods and when it is hot! On the whole I feel fantastic and am so excited to meet our little man.


We then went on the to Almendralejo, Spain for a few days and for the wedding. Boy was it hot there. The wedding was lovely and it was nice to dress up!

Our little man was busy dancing the other night, so I thought that I'd film it.

The first few seconds have the most action and then he pauses and starts again.

It is funny watching my tummy move in all directions, but I love it. He is an active little guy and has started stretching his legs, which means I have little feet poking me on my right side sometimes!

10 weeks to go until we meet the little man, can't wait!

Summer!!! 28 weeks!!!

Yay, summer is finally here after a long, long winter! Sven and I have really been enjoying the sunshine and warm weather!

Sven has been working hard around the house in preparation for our little man's arrival. He spent this weekend hanging curtain rails, assembling the changing unit, and painting our entrance hall, poor man!

I haven't been doing much this weekend, just the usual shopping for baby, gardening and tidying! I must say that the latter has not been a priority of late! This bump gets in the way of much of the house work! hehe! That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!!

I am 28 weeks on Tuesday and am feeling fab! I have loads of energy and am not as tired as I have been. Morning sickies are still around, but only on the odd occasion - like twice a week! I was in Argos (a shop) this morning and was sick, but had no where to go...you can imagine the rest. NOT NICE! I have my midwife appointment on Thursday, which I am looking forward to! Hopefully we will discuss our birth plan.

Anyway...Here are some pics from today, I made a spatchcock lemon, garlic and rosemary chicken on the Braai – it was fab! Check out my big belly and Sven's even bigger pout!!!
